Stop and read this! If you are looking for touristy, cheap, fried food then this place is not for you. If your looking for a smart atmosphere, phenomenal sushi and seafood, and great prices for the quality served (which is at the top end of the scale), then look no further. We've been coming to Orange Beach / Gulf Shores for more than 25 years and this restaurant is exactly what this area needed. It is, by far, the best restaurant around. The service is great, the owners came by and spoke with us on a busy Friday night, and we will be coming here from now on when we come down to the beach
We are a family of 5. Finding high quality food that also has something for kids is hard. Absolutely the best swordfish I've ever had. Server was excellent and very informative about the menu. Other reviews mentioned they were known for their fish and they were exactly right. Server mentioned the owner brings in the fresh caught fish daily and cuts it personally to check and guarantee it's freshness. We'll eat there a second time on this vacation trip...
Overpriced, overcooked, overcrowded
I was some what skeptical of the restaurant because it's kind of tucked away in a strip mall but this is my favorite place in the area! Upscale food with casual dining prices. Staff has been excellent every time.
The following is in addition to my previous three word review due to the response from the owner: Overcrowded- not really your fault. Congratulations on your reputation, whether deserved or not. It does affect the dining experience though due to waiting, noise level, etc. Overcooked- yes. Three people in my party and every meal was dry and flavorless. Overpriced- TripAdvisor lists an old menu apparently because the prices were much higher once seated. That's fine for a good meal. This wasn't. Finally I would like to address the "keyboard warrior" comment. If you can't take an honest review and feel the need to attack then it doesn't make you look very good.
My husband and I renewed our vows in Gulf Shores and we asked the people( Something Blue Beach Weddings) what a local favorite restaurant was and this is what they recommended. OMG, it left me speechless and fumbling for the words. Elegant, classy, delicious, very courteous employees in a cozy atmosphere. We went after the ceremony and I am so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing. We both ordered the steak and it was amazing. We don't eat out very often, but when we do, we expect high quality and that can be very hard to find these days. Can't wait to go back. This will def be a place we will visit each time we come to Gulf Shores.
